None of the articles I've seen mention players being suspended for 8 games other than the one Steve wrote. Is this just speculation at this point? Do we have proof of anything?

The NCAA is not imposing suspensions on the players but they are ruled ineligible until reinstated and reinstatement involves the school petitioning the NCAA for reinstatement. Any suspensions after reinstatement would be university imposed.
