Boy, he uses every opportunity to spin and sell. Makes my skin crawl to hear him....

Liberty goes to Oxfart in 2021 (I think). I hope they butt rape the landsharts.

PSA: Untreated syphilis can also spread to the spine.

Hope he gets better soon. His family has been through hell.

Isn't it somewhat common to get staph infections from having time in a hospital?

I hope he recovers fully.

It must have been. The article says the Dr stated that another 24 hrs and the strain of staph could have reached his heart and been a life/death situation. Later, Don Marlin was quoted as saying "did someone say strain?"

Word on the street...which prolly came from hugh himself...is that the weak and crippled would line the hallways as he would get out of bed to walk. One lady in a wheelchair reached out and touched the hem of his gown and immediately rose up and walked out of the hospital.

How do you get a staph infection on the spine?

It happens a decent amount. Typically people are in there for something else and catch it. I think you can also catch it in locker rooms, which would make sense here. This sounded potentially serious, but he's obviously going to be ok. Still scary though.

Typically does not happen without getting into your blood stream first (you can speculate here if you would like) or have some kind of procedure directly in that area

I always thought that the infection was in a open wound that got exposed. Funny how it got to the spine. I am not a doctor. I do know I am real careful at the gym.

You are not wrong. It can start there, move to the blood stream and go to other places in the body although rare

I get steroid shots in my spine every 3 months or so, so there's a risk. I just have to hope they wash their hands, glove up, and use lots of Betadine.

I’m surprised it’s not a staff infection.

Yea risk is low if they keep it sterile and you are otherwise pretty healthy
