Not that bad. The gold is muted compared to past Egg Bowl unis, and it looks like the only change is everything that was white is now light gold. If anything, the gold is so light it looks like yellow.

That’s not the case. These are maroon with gold numbers and stripes. Contrasted with how the regular jerseys on the racks in the background have white numbers and white/gray/white stripes.

Yeah, that's 100% a maroon jersey with GOLD numbers and lettering. The sleeves also appear to fade into black

I would, too. I remember an announcer at one of our games thought our colors were maroon and gray. We have a cheer at every game for maroon and white. Not maroon and some other color.

Anyway- I would like to see us go back to a special Egg Bowl uniform. I figured we wouldn't this year just because of the recent focus on toning down the rivalry by the SEC.

I'd like to see maroon jerseys with a darker shade of gold- similar to the gold the Washington Redskins wear or what we wore in 2013. Of course that picture may or may not be the best to tell what color that exactly is.

I'd like to see an Egg Bowl uniform based off of the Nike one which we wore for much of 2014.

It’s pretty clearly not affected by the light like in the dress. The tag is pure white while the numbering isn’t.

I agree...I think we should stay with the Maroon and White and not venture into other colors except black... I do like the black jerseys one game out of the year.

The players love the different uniform combos and designs. Our uniforms aren't Alabama or Penn State. I’d rather cater to the guys we’re recruiting than stick in the mud ED posters.

Best uniform is White Helmet, Maroon Jersey, Gray Pants.

I’d like to see the full Gold Helmet back. That was the most exciting Egg Bowl in recent memory. Gold replacing white in the uniform of White helmet, Maroon Jersey, White Pants would look quite interesting in my opinion.

I’m also a fan of the all blacks once a year as long as it’s not versus Alabama. (all blacks against kentucky would be a cool tradition to start).

That still leaves you with 10 games to be “normal”. White helmet, Maroon Jersey, Gray Pants at home. Maroon Helmet, White Jersey, Maroon Pants on the road. With one all maroon and one all white game a year. That would be ideal uniform setup imo.

Bama and Penn St was mentioned. Penn states are terrible. Alabama’s helmets would look much better with a script A than those stencil numbers. So I think a little variation is nice. But it crosses the line when you add colors that the university is not known for.... black and silver

Speaking of alternate uniforms, our black unis for the Kentucky game have been revealed. I actually like these. They're inspired by the TK Martin Center on campus.
