Decent amount of head injuries come from the head smacking the ground. It's not all helmet to helmet. In fact, at the younger ages, I'd argue that head to ground injuries are probably more of a problem than head to head.

It works similarly to the crumple zone of newer cars. Slow down the deceleration of the skull when contacting things. Helps keep the brain from smacking the inside of your skull as much.

Really interested in how Klieman does at KSU. He didn't build ndsu, but was on Bohl's staff when this run started. Bohl has been a good hire at Wyoming.

Interesting hire for sure, it takes a certain type of recruiting and evaluation to win at a place like KSU similar to us. I like hiring a guy that is used to evaluating JUCO and missed on players. He is following a legend is the only risk.
