I think we've seen a real shift in the way MSU is viewed nationally over the past few years. It's seems as if now we get a little more benefit of the doubt and they look at what we do have instead of what we don't.
Why? I think it's due to consistently producing good NFL players and 9 straight bowls, but most of all I think it's due to an increasing reliance on analytics and algorithms to rank teams. By taking the logo off the helmet, the algorithms can give a more accurate picture of who the best teams are than what CFB has ever had and this has tremendously helped MSU.
