New Grad Transfer
RHP Carlisle Koestler
5-11, 190 R/R
Vicksburg, Mississippi
Warren Central HS
SE Louisiana University
He pitched only 24 innings this past spring before getting hurt.
I don’t know the extent of his injury. He last pitched on March 9.
He had a great junior year. He is a strike thrower with lots of strikeouts.
Exactly what I expected. We need some experienced pitchers.
Excellent pick up!

if healthy, koestler will provide depth however the coaches feel he is best suited. If I am correct, he doesn't walk folks so he should be a sound pickup

For those that don't do Facebook. He has a win over ULL and LSU to his credit. This is a good pick up because we need a third starter behind Ginn and Cerentola and we also need a midweek starter. Very evident that he throws strikes which is what we need.

Good pickup, has post season experience and was a rotating guy for them

179 innings of college experience, more than anyone on next year’s roster

Good to see us pick up a player like this. It will lessen the blow of Hendricks and Blaze Jordan possibly leaving instead of just stop gapping with a JUCO player.

Happy to see us get a quality grad transfer that should help us next year. Good job Lemons!

This is exactly what I had in mind when I said we needed another JP France type grad transfer.

If he's healthy(I'm assuming he's over his injury now), this kid will help us a bunch. He knows how to pitch and he pounds the strike zone.

I hope he's in the running for SEC pitcher of the year. (Only adds to my mounting evidence.**)
