Yeah, Mrs. Saban didn't kill shit. More money and less trailer parks. She goes where he goes.

Makes sense and for anyone that says that Saban has said he never talked to Texas, he also said he would not be going to Bama right before he was announced as the Bama Head Coach. He might not technically talked to them but his people definitely did. UT is one of the few programs that could outspend Bama if they choose to. I am from MS/Bama since I lived 3 miles from Bama but not sure someone would choose to live in Tuscaloosa instead of Austin if they liked to do anything that rich people like to do.

I dunno how much interest was expressed, and I dunno how much back channeling went on...

But I do know this: If Texas really wanted Saban, and Saban really wanted to be at Texas... he'd be there.

Those cats in 15 gallon hats with a Bajillion dollars woulda told Mack to "Fvck off" and thrown the bank at Saban.

This is the absolute truth.

Tom Hicks, LOL. Hicks and his partner effectively took Liverpool to bankruptcy. We are talking about one of the biggest clubs in Europe. They promised the world and delivered nothing. That's also a SDS article. Had the money boys at Texas wanted to get Saban, Mack Brown would not have stopped them.

So let me get this straight, they want me to believe Mack brown was calling the shots?? Bahahahahahahahah. Now that's funny.

Yeah but Ms Saban didn't like the brand of beef jerky in Texas.

It was probably one guy that went on his own and had Saban's agent interested. The rest probably were loyal to Mack Brown so it didn't go any further when Brown didn't retire.

That could be the case... and let's not forget how Sexton will play Universities against one another to get a bigger check... I still find it hard to believe the near felonious level of sodomy he perpetrated on the Aubies...

I didn’t read the article, but what I remember from back when it was happening was that Saban told the t-sips that the only way he would come is if Mack Brown stepped down gracefully and that didn’t happen so Saban stayed put.

And that's what is in the article. Mack blew a fuse and told the regent he wasn't going to let Saban walk in and win a NC with his recruits.

Too bad he didn't make the move. He's pretty close to being revered here as much as Bear was ... maybe not on a personal level like Bear, but certainly on a winning level. Bama fans can be quite haughty.

At first glance I only saw

Mack Brown killed Saban
