is it possible this team is quicker than last year?

Rickea Jackson is the real deal she can be our Aja Wilson in the coming years. This team is very talented offensively. Jazz is such a good PG wonder who will assume that role.

Morris at the line misses bnoth ft's. dawgs down 37-34 at half

I like the fact that Taylor adds 3 pt ability at the PG and so does Matharu

Matharu is going to be good I think. She's hardly getting any time, but she's shown a few flashes

I mean they just didnt miss the whole 3rd quarter. It happens, we have gained invaluable exp for this season with so much PT from our Freshman.

As compared to the coaches that can’t even make it to one? He had one stolen from him.

Australia won it last year as well...they were a lot bigger, stronger and older than MSU not to mention we had one week of practice to prepare.... future looks bright.

Well, he did win the SEC Tournament, and he won at South Carolina last year for the SEC title out right.

I don't think you can really be upset about this team winning silver. Half of them have never played together before, and 5 of them have never played a D1 or SEC game before.

Anyone who is mad is an idiot... the experience those ladies just had will help us so much in the coming season.

Good come back attempt, kept playing hard, and cut the final margin to 8 points. The freshmen made a really good showing in Italy. Juco transfer center, Yemiyah Morris played really well, made a statement for the starting center spot for next season. Also, Myah Taylor looked much improved, much more comfortable running the team. She's starting to look the part of a future starter at the point for Miss. State. Hemingway, Jessika Carter, Wiggins, ect. Keep your heads up team.

Rickea Jackson- 18 points
JaMya Young- 12 points
Yemiyah Morris- 8 points, 11 rebounds (tops for both teams)

Lots of room for work, but think about it. This is a team missing three starters from last year (and one and possibly two starters for this year). Tons of freshmen and transfers. Playing against an all-star team drawn from 10 universities across Australia (if you didn't watch, picture several Bibbys along with a couple of 6'5" Bibbys, and several short/fast Bibbys). Aussies averaged 2 years older than our team. We will be good by fall. 2020-2021 season will be special.

Considering all the factors, we played well and gained a lot by the experience. We are gonna press WBB for titles again this year. Vic has reloaded again.

Don't sleep on 6-6 juco transfer Yemiyah Morris. She has exceptional athleticism, leaping ability, length. Also, she's quick, and runs the floor well. Scores, rebounds, blocks shots. She just needs to keep listening and learning from Coach Schaefer, Coach Harris, and the other coaches. Potential to develop, and become dominant , a nationally sleeper type. Lot depends on how hard she works, how comitted. Has 2 seasons of eligibility.

Best 2 players that I saw on Miss. State's team during these games were #1 Rickea Jackson, and #2 Yemiyah Morris. Throw in Chloe Bibby, Myah Taylor, 2 of the other freshmen, and Espinoza-Hunter with these two, and you have the team's top 7 players thus far. Jessika Carter is getting better, not there yet though. Appears more of a power forward type player. She shows good quickness, athleticism. Promise Taylor rehabbing, in the mix as well.

Keep an eye on this freshman JaMya Mingo-Young, former top 15 ranked player in the country. Already looks like one of the better players on the team.
