No telling. That area of Hwy 45 south of Meridian is four-laned but there's little traffic. Could have been speed, could have been a slight mistake.

I taught Jeremiah two years ago and knew Zae, the one who died, from the hallway. Kind of wound up kids but very talented and always smiling, which is what you need on a successful football team. Strong family support all around, it's a tough situation.

Haven't heard much on the kid from Harrison Central. I think his injuries were the least. Jeremiah Braziel is the one from my school (Gulfport) and I don't see many updates other than encouraging words and prayers from his mother and their family and friends. He had some serious injuries including a spleen injury, punctured lung, traumatic aortic injury, broken ribs, broken pelvis (all quoted from his mother's post). They weren't sure if he would make it early on but each day brings new hope.
