He has done so much for this team and is still doing work even in signing this contract. The money that the Mets saved on Jake and other seniors allowed them to entice a RHP from a Florida HS to agree to terms. He is a first round value that they took way late and he was committed to Florida. So, thanks, again, Jake. That's one more first rounder State won't have to face.
