Cole Gordon and Tanner Allen get into a knock down drag out with Rowdy Jordan and Jordan Westburg over who gets the last bag of cotton candy from the vendor. NCAA rules us ineligible for the rest of the series and as well as making Jordan and Westburg serve a one year suspension.

In all seriousness, I'm hopeful but not optimistic. A lot of things have to go right to win the CWS and they never seem to for us. Legitimately our percentages for winning the CWS, at best, are probably in the 20s. Of course, the same thing can be said for most other teams there. Vandy is still the prohibitive favorite in my mind though. They've won like 32 of their last 34 games and probably have the best overall physical talent of anyone in the field.

I think it’s plainly obvious Vandy is the best team. Pitching and hitting..... they will be a tough tough out.

Like I said, you assume nothing in Omaha. Nothing. Better team doesn't always win and you can't expect to win either. Once you get to Omaha you throw everything out and just hope you can get enough luck to make it to the championship.

Its actually probably more the exception than the rule that the absolute best team wins the CWS. Really the team that gets the best matchups and gets the breaks. Right now Auburn has the HP ump in their hip pocket and that really helps in any game.

#1 and #2 national seed have never won the title. That should speak volumes as to that point exactly. The best teams in the regular season have technically never won.
