Multiple people saying Ready looked damn good

Did they say good scorer? Passer? Defense? All 3?

buddy said he shot it well and handled it well. Definite upgrade there. Couldnt tell alot tho because of some guys being out and alot of walk-ons playing.

Also said that FTF looked like a legit SEC player now and not a starving kid from the Delta- and Ware is in better shape also.

Ready looked solid, Fred has really improved, Chicken is better, Ware missed some gimmes but is in better shape. Borchert and some others out with minor injuries.

If ray can recruit, he will win big here. We need to add an impact big man for next season and if we do, I expect us to win 20+

Did FN play last light? If so, how did he look?

I heard he did play. I wasn't able to attend yesterday's scrimmage though. I heard he looked good running up and down the court but needs to add 20 pounds and some offensive moves.

It was hard to for me to take anything away from this, seeing as how Mr. Ray decided to play Starters vs. Walk-ons. Jacoby Davis, Trivante, Kyle Dobbs, and Colin Borchert sat out with injuries. Fred played well, scoring mostly around the rim. His light is still a little too green for my taste. IJ is as quick as advertised, but he definitely isnt "the future" as Mr. Ray tabbed him. Fallou is every bit of 6-10, but is going to be a big time project. Probably would have been better had he not put together such lopsided teams.

He wasn't trying to put together the most entertaining scrimmage possible, he was trying to coach. Good of you to already set the ceiling for our PG who has never played a college game, though.

I want our starters playing together. Helps build chemistry

I wasn't the one who dubbed a 5'8 point guard with two d1 offers "the future".

No you just said he wasn't the answer before he plays a single game

I'll admit I haven't been keeping up with our reboot of the basketball program, but our PG is 5'8"? Seriously?

The best PG State ever had was 5'8. Chucky still holds some records as well.

According to 247, Ready had offers from MSU, Alabama and Nebraska. He's also 5'10" according to 247 and 5'11" according to the MSU roster.

The question is, is your beef with I.J. Ready or Rick Ray?

There are a lot of very good "short" PG's in the college game. If they're quick, can handle the ball well, and have good vision, they don't have to be 6' +.

I don't care how tall he is if he can ball. Six feet would be nice though...
