Great New Orleans singer. Leon Redbone died also a few weeks ago. Great musicians from the 70's

One of my favorites. Glad I got to see him several times unlike a lot of my favorites. He influenced so many great musicians. Rest easy Dr

Didn't realize Leon Redbone had passed. I really like his musical style.

Prediction? Pain.

Was about to post this on the OT board. I just really discovered Dr. John's music in the past six months or so after being introduced to his first album, Gris Gris. If you haven't heard that one, now's as good a time as any to check it out.

It's like if Van Morrison and Tom Waits got together in New Orleans and cooked up some weird, funky, voodoo-calypso-soul record. Solid stuff.
