Yep. We have a good atmosphere. I am sure there are probably 5-10 other sites throughout the country that gets going.

Looks more like an outdoor amphitheater at a Boy Scout Camp. That's just sad.

Yeaaa.. Seating capacity of 1,820 max. Pretty sure we have had more than that on a 36 degree February night vs maine.

Was out in the outfield with some of the CMU guys last night and about every 5 minutes you'd just see them look around and look at each other and say this is absolutely insane. They were blown away at the amount of support that baseball gets here. One of them, who was a senior, said if his college baseball career had to end somewhere other than Omaha then he was glad it ended here in that environment.

I had a Miami fan and his son sitting directly in front of me last night. He said he knew we had a good stadium and atmosphere but that it exceeded his expectations. He called it "special" and was very complimentary of the fans.

Folks, I think we need to come to terms with the fact that no one can touch us now in terms of a baseball stadium and atmosphere. Especially in the postseason. It looked and felt like I was watching an MLB playoff game on TV last night. And when I was in the my chairbacks on Saturday it was even better. We are the shit, and everyone needs to take a big ol' sniff!

I agree but our fans need to turnout more than they have. 3 other SECW rivals outdrew us last night. That's disappointing.

Meh.. it's more than about records and such. I think it was the late games hurt us more. but no biggie. this weekend will be the last chance to watch a bunch of our guys play for a lot of us no matter what...
and the crowds will show.

That's a hell of a compliment. Yeah, the CMU players (in the outfield last night) were soaking every bit of that experience up!

Looking at the Louisville game online, their stadium would give UCLA's a run for its money. Really small. You can even see vehicles driving behind home plate and down each line.

Part of being in a rural area and playing late Sunday night. Locals are huge on nights like that. BR is 9 times bigger than starkville and fayetville/Springdale is 7 times bigger.

That's why Saturday, with normal game time and no work on Monday, was a much truer gauge.

Not to mention the train. A train engine stopped for a while so the driver and another guy could watch the game. They blew the train horn when Louisville had a good play.

It's touted on their website as one of the top college baseball fields in the nation. O. K.

It's actually no better than most SEC softball stadiums.
