I would be willing to bet you don't see that happen again anywhere for a LONG time.

Dang impressive; tells you the program is bigger than the coach. I heard the other day that FSU set NCAA record for super regionals at 17; how many have we been to? 10 CWS so we can't be too far behind.

My personal favorite is four straight Governor's Cups with four different coaches.

If we keep going to Omaha we will break through. The key is going every year and getting our players Omaha experience so that it's not a new thing for them when they are juniors. Experience is the biggest advantage you can have in postseason baseball whether it's MLB, college or high school IMO.

We have been to 9. Not sure who has the record. I doubt it's fsu. this is the 20th year of super regionals.

Super regionals didn't come around until 99. We've won 15 regionals, but this will be just our 9th SR.

It is FSU.

This year is actually the 21st year of SR's. They've only missed in 2006, 2007, 2014, and 2018.

FSU made 17 after this year; they told that on a broadcast I saw after they won.

Hopefully after this year it will be
4 supers with 4 different coaches
2 CWS with 2 different coaches
1 national title

That would be a hell of a run

Thanks I guess i thought they choked earlier every year.. but the choke was not getting to Omaha.

They are incredible at getting to the postseason (haven't missed since 1977, which was 3 years before Mike Martin took over, which is almost unfathomable) and at winning regionals (they've failed to win a regional only 8 times since 1985, which is, again, almost unfathomable.

You are right that they're not great at winning SR's. They have won 6 out of the 16 they've played, which isn't great, though 6 in that timeframe is still good overall. And they're obviously not good at winning once they make Omaha.
