Finally leasing some land closer to where I live so I don?t have to drive so far to hunt, but I need a four wheeler to access a lot of it. My initial thought was a Recon, but it?s not available in 4x4. So, the next step up is a rancher, but I?d rather not get one that big if I don?t have to. Anyone have a recon and think it?d be fine with a deer on the back rack, not getting weighed down in mud?

Way back when I had a recon, great 4 wheeler, it's light enough to move if you are stuck. Get a winch if you are concerned about heavy deep mud.

I have a Foreman 500 and a 420 Rancher both are great 4 wheelers.

You'll be fine with a recon. These giant ass 4wheelers now are mostly overkill. Like said, get a winch just in case.

Thanks. I figured it would end up being fine. I had a 2008 foreman and it was like driving a tank.

Yes on 500 Foreman. I like my 420 Rancher, it's not 4 wheel drive and handles really well. I use my foreman around the house mostly.

I had Honda 300’s for years....however, I really like side by sides....just for hauling stuff and comfort
