Hijack- they should just make the SEC Tournament single elimination and forget it. It doesn't make sense to me to keep going back and forth so much. That way they could start the tournament on a Thursday and it would be a LOT easier on everyone else as far as pitching goes.

If they're getting younout the same way every time, you have to expect it and at least Try to adjust. It may not work, but if they're K'ing you every time with curves in the dirt....maybe when you get 0-2, expect it and try to take it. If they beat you with a different pitch, tip your cap....but don't keep doing the same shit every at bat and expect a different result.

If I understood what the SEC Network idiots just said, and that's obviously means THEY know what they are talking about (HUGE assumption), if we beat LSU tomorrow we only have to beat Vandy once to make the title game. If so that is even more BS than than a winner take all one off championship game in BASEBALL. Cut it back to four teams, host it at the Top seed. Make it strictly double elimination. Next best format: Two two out of three series. The winner of those two play a two out of three series for the title. One game take all has no place in baseball

Well there's that. I think single elimination they could possibly find a way to include all the teams in the league. I think they play 17 games now. If they did single elimination with some kind of a play in game or two I think they could get it to 14 games and then maybe up ticket prices a little bit to make up the difference.

It really almost can't be double elimination with as many teams as there are in the league because the NCAA was leaving teams that didn't qualify for the SEC Tournament out of the regionals entirely.

Nah. Vandy is just really good. We've feasted on a lot of bad mid week teams, but it's usually been tight with SEC teams that have a pulse.

But as a 35-year fan of "MSSTATE" athletics...beating Vandy and breezing through the SECT would have been scarier to me. In that scenario, we would have headed into the regional ranked #1, female fans start posting "we believe" stuff on Facebook, feeling invincible, and collecting All American accolades. All that is terrifying for the Old Fans.
