So what are we thinking tonight....Small, Liebelt, White in a perfect world? We pretty much know Small won't give us 9, and we can't throw Gordon, so I'm thinking that's our best option. Maybe Small can give us 7. Of course, all of that depends on score....if we are comfortably ahead or behind you probably go back to Self or Tyler Spring, maybe even Cerantola.

Gotta hit tonight, Vandy can rake and play solid defense.

Small could go into late innings, remember he was selected as the pitcher of year.

Do you push Small past 100 pitches or still keep it below? I don't think there will be scenario that Spring or Cerantola pitch against Vandy unless we are about to be run ruled. Vandy can put up crooked letters at any time so you can't risk it.

If Small is rolling you let him go to the 100-105 pitch mark. Otherwise let him get somewhere in the 75-90 range and go to the pen. Should have everyone but Smith, Gordon, and James available tonight. I'd imagine Leibelt will be the first out of the pen unless they chase Small early. In that case you'd probably turn to Spring or Cerantola cause if they chase Small early it probably means we are down big. Winning tonight would be massive for the bullpen. An extra day would probably mean we'd have a full pen come Saturday.

I like your thinking Cadaver. Small, Leibelt, and White to finish. Of course, I’d switch Rowdy and Westburg in the lineup. Westy killed us last night. Time to stack the switch hitters at the beginning of the lineup. That lineup helped us big time last year and Rowdy is hitting consistently enough to be moved back there.

Leibelt hasn’t been very good the last couple outings. That’s a little concerning.

I agree, his last 2 outings have not been good at all

I want to beat Vandy. I think it moves us up a notch in the top 4.

I really think we can shut them down and win tonight.. and show the world who should have really won the conference.

I'm with you. Stop all this talk about not caring, that is crazy talk but I guess its message board posters. How could anyone think like that is beyond me. I never Coached nor played with that thought process.

I wonder if Small actually went to sleep or if he stayed up like the rest of us.

This game isn’t going to move the needle in seeding.

Not a chance he went to sleep....but he was resting in a hotel room watching, so that's the next best thing I guess

I agree. Small, Leibelt, and then Colby. Could see Barlow if we need to match up left on left. I'm expecting 6 from Small and would be very happy with 7.

No more than 100.

Vandy, LSU, and Arkansas are the three teams I want a shot at in the Tournament. So far- one up and one down. I think this will be another game like the SR's last year.

Pretty sure they still remember being eliminated by us last year on their home field.

I think we rake it tonight and get a day off tomorrow.

Arkansas just pulled Campbell after 71 pitches, 0 runs allowed. We should probably keep Small to 85 or less.

Interesting. That?s a high ERA for a Friday guy. Tells you he gets lots of run support. He was the Friday guy last yea too right? I think we were the last team to beat him.

Good memory indeed. that was the friday night game we won 10-8. We got 7 runs off him on 7 hits in 4.1 IP and 87 pitches
