I would've given it to Ethan Small, because he's having the better season imo, while Jake has had the better career. But nonetheless, I'm glad it's going to an MSU guy, and both Mangum and Small have had fantastic seasons

Both Mangum and Small were deserving and I'm glad that Jake got it. I would have been happy if Small had won it as well.

I would have probably given the nod to Small but Mangum makes our team go. He isn't just the amazing production on the field but is our clubhouse leader. The guy is everything right with baseball and I see people on Twitter basically saying the same thing. You have fans of different schools that are Mangum fans because of his approach to the game and its fans.

I've said it before but I'll say it again. Jake Mangum is how I would envision myself playing baseball at MSU if I had the talent and opportunity to do so. Except with Will Clark type power.

I've never seen a player in the head of another team like he is in the head of Ole Miss either. It's pretty hilarious- Jake beat them as a pitcher. They intentionally walk Jake and he scores the winning run. I just love the panic on Bianco's face when Jake steps up to the plate.
