In regards to health what type of surgery did he recently have? And does anyone know if he's 100%? I keep hearing injury was the reason he didn't win the job at Penn state.

He had surgery on his foot. He's good to go now. It prevented him from being able to go through spring training. The reason he's pissed at Franklin is that he basically had a botched surgery that did not correct it right the first time last year and he played hurt on it to put it all on the line for his team. He was told things by Franklin that lead him to believe he was going to be their guy this year (according to his father) and then after he has surgery to get it fixed he has to miss the spring and Franklin would not name him the starter after he had supposedly given them assurances that would be the case. Now we are here. This idea that he was beaten out is not correct.

Being pro active and trying to improve the football team by bringing in a QB is a good indicator to me that Joe is giving max effort to be successful.
We have shown Interest in 2 QBs this off season
Kelly Bryant who we were really close to getting and now Stevens who we got.
