D1 Baseball and Baseball America both have us as the number 4 national seed. D1 has us in a regional with DBU, the Mustard Buzzards, and Jacksonville St. Matched up with the Coral Gables Regional.

Baseball America has us in a regional with Florida St, Texas St, and Jacksonville St. Matched up with the Corvallis Regional. The possibility of a Ethan Small/Drew Parrish matchup pt. 2 might have a couple of scouts at the ballpark. And the chance to get some revenge on the Beavs in a VERY hostile environment would be pretty nice.


Interestingly enough, Ole Miss is completely left out of the field in the D1 Projection.

I would prefer D1's too.

I think both projections are possible however I still do not think USM will be in our regional.

You don't say?!!! Talk about in depth analysis!

What I meant was USM seems to be really good for a 3 seed, and they have the whole "in state rivalry" thing going for them. I don't like them as our 3, but I would love them as our 2.

DBU is one of the better 2 seeds imo. As the #4 national seed, I would prefer they paired us with a weaker 2. But, hey, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

And of course LSU is projected to host getting a SWAC school. Why do they get the SWAC team as the #4 in their regional every single year?

Forget that noise .... Bring all these teams on! Gonna have to bump heads with tough teams no matter which way it goes.

Well, I'm not scared of USM. They don't deserve a 2 with their resume'. It's not even certain that they will get an at large at this point. A regional with three mid majors would be about as easy as we could hope for.
