So last night after the win we moved back up to the #3 RPI and are .0003 points ahead of East Carolina. Our SOS stands at #19 and I think that gets to around 16 or 17 by the end of the weekend.
Vandy has taken a large lead at RPI #1 followed by UCLA. UCLA is taking a major hit this weekend because their conference foe, Washington State, currently has an RPI of 201. I don't think we can pass UCLA this weekend unless we sweep and they lose 1, but either way we have closed the gap on them.
Still think if the season ended today we would be the #4 National seed. Big thing now is we want to get a first round bye in the SEC tournament to guarantee us a couple games to keep our pitching on rotation and keep the team motivated.
We are currently 4th in the SEC standings and would receive the 1st round bye. If we sweep OM we guarantee the bye. If we find a way to end up tied or ahead of Georgia we would get the 3. They are only one game ahead of us but they have a favorable end of the season with Auburn and Bama. As of now Vandy and Arkansas are running away with the divisions, so 3 and 4 are our most likely spots.
