Per Steve Robinson Twitter.

I think that's the best landing spot for him. Jameis is a ticking time bomb, and the other QBs on the roster (Blaine Gabbert and Ryan Griffin) aren't going to be winning a starting job there or anywhere else. Plus, the Bucs saw Taysom Hill twice last year and might think they can develop Fitz into that.

Were these guys drafted or signed as UDFA? Surprised McLaurin wasn?t drafted

I don't know the bucs' QB coach, Clyde Christianson, but hopefully he's good. Fitz is a major project as a QB, but he has the physical tools. Maybe he can make it as a back up qb

Not bad for a kid who threw less than 100 passes in live games (HS and College) before becoming an SEC starter. Guy is a gifted athlete and we should be proud that he represents State.

I would say so. By my count, there were 11 QBs drafted and 6 UDFAs. Fitz is one of 17 QBs to get a shot in the nfl

I thought Smith played for Buffalo. I know he scored a TD as a RB in one of their superbowls.

Edit: Just checked and he was drafted by TB......

Me too. He would be a matchup nightmare. He played both positions during the combine and Pro day.
