It isn't a straight adaption but instead is doing it more chronological order. It is actually kind of starting with the book 4 story of Roland's beginning. This is one of my favorite book series so I am ready to see what they do with it. The movie was a horrible adaption so I believe doing it with a series on Amazon will be a lot better fit. There is too much information to try and force it into a 2 hour movie even if you are doing a single book.
