As much as I like this team, this is maybe the shakiest infield I can remember us having in a long time. We seem to rarely be in the right position and we just don't make plays. The reality is that we have 2 really great starters, and the rest is inconsistent. If Ginn and Small ever have issues, we are in deep shit.

Again, there was the Allen too lazy to get to his spot single error and the Halter error in the 1st that allowed all 3 runs and made Ginn get 2 more outs. Then halter didn't get the tag at 2B down like he should causing Ginn to have to get another out. Then Halter didn't get to a routing grounder causing 2 more runs to score and make Ginn get another out.

SO at LEAST 4 runs can be directly attributed to the crappy D, and Ginn actually got 4 more outs than the scorecard showed.

Play clean D and Ginn is 6.1 IP, 2 ER, and about 6 hits allowed. Vs a lefty heavy lineup that's not bad for his worst outing of the year

It's not like he's been doing anything at the plate. Swings at anything, doesn't walk, and doesn't get hits. Take away the opening series and he's 21/99, which is .212, with 1 HR. That's a pretty consistent under performance to be in the lineup at all , much less the 3 hole. I know hatcher looks bad vs righties but he's still hit better than that and I know his D can't be worse

Stick Mac in the 2 hole and move Westy to the 3 hole and Foscue to the 4, Rowdy 5, Skelton 6, Hatcher 7, then Allen and Halter. If that's too many righties in a row then put Rowdy in the 2 hole
