I am guessing he deleted the tweet. What did it say?

He had reached his ceiling under Howland. Good luck to him, and I hope he makes some money overseas.

He still could improve. I give it to him that he did make an obvious effort to be less selfish and more of a pass first guy but I ultimately think that took away from being able to fully display his abilities.

I think this is what I've been disappointed with Howland the most. Player development

I honestly don't care if he comes back. If he does, hopefully it gives another year to mature and work on the things he needs to work on. If he doesn't, the drama is gone.

I would love for Peters to say, but I have no beef with him if he's ready to make money overseas. And I don't know that I really disagree with him that he's hit his ceiling at state. I don't think he's close to reaching his potential, and he could still potentially benefit a lot from another year of college ball, but from what I saw of him this year (which was admittedly somewhat limited), he didn't look a lot better than last year. Not sure if the stats show something different, but if they don't, I get him thinking he doesn't need to spend another year without much improvement, and don't think it's crazy to think a few years over seas and a different style of ball will help him take the next step more quickly than another year of college ball.

It would be a smart move for him to stay, get his diploma and try to improve on the court. Playing over-seas is no panacea. Salaries can run $50K/yr for an average player. Yea some can get over $200K/yr but not many get that.

This is what he said on Instagram:

2 out for good thanks too the most high for blessing me to play this game I love at the highest level of college basketball it’s about time me and Starkville separated✌

Obviously he's ready to go, I got no problem with that.

He's ready to go and parts of the fan base are ready to see him leave. I personally hate to see him leave. First because I think another year of development would do him a lot of good and second because at this point we have no PG for next year.

Super talented guy but just seemed to never have it all together mentally. I'm sure his dad passing away had a lot to do with it.

This team was very talented, but they never seemed to just love playing together. This season reminded me of a Stansbury year towards the end, though obviously not as bad. I just wonder if Peters having this mindset played into it.

Hope Peters can improve his game, make less mistakes, and get where he wants to be. If he feels overseas is best-ok. I just feel he is always going to be the type player that when he is hot, he can win a game for you, when he is not and making a lot of mistakes he can lose a game for you. Doesn't seem to be a lot of in between with him. Imo

He needs to find a happy medium between shooting like crazy or passing like crazy. He has NBA potential with his shot and ball handling skills but he still needs work. He also just needs to get off social media because he seems to latch onto the 10 people talking shit about him vs the 100 people telling him great job or keep your head up.

This is LP's biggest problem. All the talent in the world, but he gets in his own way more times than not.

If anyone has two they won't be using, I'd love to buy them. Please PM me. Thanks!

You still need two chairbacks for Thursday? PM me if so.

Wish him all the best!

Hope he matures and becomes successful in life.

I realize this seems like a big loss, but.... it may be addition by subtraction. Our program needs to get tougher and is in need of a culture change.

Peters could have been really, really special, too. There was a reason he was being talked about as a first round pick coming out of the Adidas tournament. Just never could put it all together.
