What is the deal with our outfielders playing too shallow. It’s easier to run forward for a ball then back for a ball. Mangum should have had that ball. It barely made the warning track. Same thing with the ball Rowdey missed yesterday. We were positioned too shallow both times.

Since the first that's 3 times we've left the bases loaded, only only gotten 2 total runs. We'd be over a dozen runs if we could hit wit the bases loaded. Doesn't matter much though because "timely hitting" isn't sustainable either way and we should win this one regardless

I would feel much better about the bullpen situation if Price or Self, one, would get back to what they used to be. Just feels like we're missing a reliable guy that you know what you're getting whenever he comes in.

I don't disagree with this &, since Ginn is already on the SEC travel roster anyway, it does make some sense. Not sure Cumbest will make the SEC travel roster.

Thing is, we don't have a great hitter to be the right handed DH or pinch hitter, so IMO, we may as well go with the guys that have the most power so we make the hits count

Ginn threw 87 pitches in 7 innings today.

Both gave up 2 earned runs. Ginn's efficiency allowed him to work deeper in the game.

I like Ginn as a hitter. But right now the Small/Ginn 1-2 punch is just so valuable. If he batted, he could get plunked, pull a hammy, break a finger sliding headfirst. Ginn the starter is so critical to our success.

That is why last night's loss was so frustrating. We likely had the sweep right there in our hands and let it slip away just like we let the sweep get away from us last week against a FL team that is now 1-5. 6-0 or 5-1 looks a lot better than 4-2 if we can get there tomorrow.
