Just saw that Oktibbeha County has a tornado warning. Any activity noticeable for those of you that live down that way?

There's also a warning for extreme NE Mississippi.

And another watch issued for the rest of north Mississippi and the NW quadrant of Alabama.

The picture in Mike Brown's tweet isn't just a funnel cloud ... that's a tornado.

Schools are dismissing here anywhere from 11:30 to 1:00, depending on which system and which grade level.

Channel 48 just showed radar from Greenwood Springs that had a hook echo south of Amory. That's probably the one you mentioned that has moved.

Looks on the ground to me (the last picture), but yes, there are trees in the way in the distance so it possibly could be elevated just a bit. I don't think so though.

Lots of warnings near Starkville. And that area wasn't even in the Enhanced probability earlier today. I shudder to think what it'll be like here as the afternoon progresses.

I rarely venture into AL. That is where my cell signal goes to die. I can literally map the state line with my cell signal. Losing radar west of Cullman last April is what caused me to drive dead center into a tornado. It was at night and rain wrapped and I had no clue it was there until I was doing my Dorothy imitation inside it.

Don't know who you use for cell..but change that sucker and get you a cell signal for your laptop or tablet. Getting reports of damage over in empire and allgod. praying it's nothing bad.

I'm C Spire and my chase partner is Verizon and we both have piss poor service. I've heard AT&T is the carrier of choice in Alabama. I'm about to bite the bullet and get a cell phone signal booster put in my truck.
