State vs OM: SEC Championships

If anyone has ever wondered who has more SEC championships.....

State has won more men's regular season championships, mens tournament championships, and women's regular season championships. The only thing OM has over State is in women's tournament championships by 1. I got to thinking about this after the SECrant thread (where they finished dead last in that ranking).

1. It is probably even more in our favor if you started the date at integration. Most of their football success was before the 60s.

2. Neither of us have been good in women's sports. UM women's basketball was good under MSU Alum but other than that Vic's women's teams are basically the greatest women's teams in the State of MS history.

1. It is probably even more in our favor if you started the date at integration. Most of their football success was before the 60s.

This is true too. All their football championships and most of their baseball came from that time period. However, it would take a chunk out of State's too because State had 4 basketball titles, 5 cross country titles, and their only football title during that time too.
