Unfortunately, that's just not how the baseball polls work. As long as the teams didn't lose series, they wont drop. We did move up to 6 in the D1 poll though because UNC got swept. #6 Mississippi State at #5 Florida this weekend to start SEC play. The marquee series of the weekend.

If we sweep then we very well could be #1 but that is a big task at UF. We need our hitters to put up some runs unless our pitching gets back to shutdown caliber.

That may be true, but it doesn't mean they aren't a pathetic excuse for a poll. Any system that doesn't have us in the top 5 right now, is ridiculous. They don't even have Arizona State ranked. They're undefeated and have some good wins.
