Anybody shooting these? I got some 3 inch 5s and 6s Im going to try this year. I would get that Tungsten TSS but it is 30 dollars a box for 5 shells. It shoots a hell of a pattern but it aint worth 60 dollars for 10 shells. And any of yall heard any? Seen any? Took a youngin out and knocked one down? Im so excited friday cant come fast enough

They are great shells. Here is the load testing I did with them a few years ago:

Rained here all weekend, so I am going in blind on Saturday morning.

I shoot the 3 1/2" #6 out of my 870 with a super full factory remington choke. Right now it gives me a pattern that'll kill turkeys out to 50/55 yards. I'm gonna try the Carlson's Longbeard XR choke eventually with a .660 construction just not in a hurry

I've got a Mossberg 835 Ulti Mag with an Accu Mag factory choke I shot the shells the other day and liked it. I was just wondering what anyone else thought. I know someone who is shooting the Tungsten shells and he patterned his at 60 yards with a rangefinder and that pattern was hellacious

Yeah, that TSS is bad news but like you i dont see the point in paying $10 or more per shell when $2 per shell will give me dead turkey all day out to 55/60 yards. Lord, if I ever take a shot out to 60 it'll be something I wont be proud of and will focus even harder on my calling, i definitely wont be bragging about it

Same here...that and I plan on handing my gun down to my boy when the time comes. While 870 barrels aren't expensive to replace, I dont want him to have to worry about it and I'm not sure of the long term effects of tungsten

Bucky, I am shooting the same gun; Mossburg Utili Mag 835. I have been for 30 years. I went to the TSS 3-1/2” #9. At 60 yards, the pattern on a 5 in circle is so tight. The choke is a factory extra full turkey choke. I feel very confident with this gun, shell, and choke combo.
