Notre Dame in for sure ----where are they going to be the number 1 seed? Chicago?

Baylor - where are they sending them? what does it matter? There is no where close.

UConn - Albany if they win

If a number 1 seed is not from the West coast Portland is a terrible choice.

I think the first 2 rounds on a campus is a great idea but I don't really think the logistics and economics of the host sites for the next round make much sense.

There will be two number 1 seeds that travel a long way for their games and then I think the committee has said the number 2 seeds will not play in their home regions

Please enlighten me.

Why are men's sites pre-selected? Because it gives fans a better chance to know possible sites if they want to go. Women's sites are selected by sites that traditionally give the most support to women's basketball.

Here are the sites for the next 4 years

What is the criteria for a regional site. Any chance Mississippi could get one with State's success or does the flag prevent that? Seems like Biloxi could support a women's regional but the coliseum is probably too small.

I think Memphis or Southaven would be really good.

Yeah, I edited my post when I thought about the venue size. Memphis is probably a good spot for us close to Starkville. Maybe Birmingham too.
It would be nice to have a home court advantage in a regional one day.

Memphis would have to deal with the Grizzlies schedule...and want it. One of those 2 reasons would be why it hasn't happened yet i would guess. maybe it will be revisited with our success in the future.
Forum holds 18 so might be too big for regional play.

*edit* i think size is it. dallas is a regional site in 2020 and it's being played on campus at SMU instead of the AAC (will get the final four again in 2023..hosted the 2017 also)

Mississippi is not allowed to host any NCAA affiliated tournaments because of the flag. We can serve as hosts sites for our team but cannot host an actual tournament.

The way it worked last year was the lowest number 1 seed went to Portland. Which was. . . . Notre Dame.
