If I were pitching with a shift on, you offer up something moving down and in to a left hander. Nothing they can do put pull it, generally speaking. If they try to push it, it will go up the middle closer to 2nd than the normal SS position.

At first, I thought he was safe but your really couldn't tell. Then all the replay angles had the base in the deep shadow and you couldn't even see the base, let alone whether he made the tag or not. I think that was one of those "play stands as called" things.

Depends on scouting report, but there are a lot of dead pull hitters in today?s game that try to pull/go up the middle with an outside pitch. Your wanting them to hit it up the middle straight to a defender or a weak pull to the right side (since it?s a lefty). So few true oppo able hitters

The NCAA record is 60 by a guy at Vermont. Interestingly, the record for a streak within one year is 47...by Todd Helton at Tennessee.
