I had pretty much given up on the show. I had to watch 4 episodes to even get caught up to new season... pretty much forced myself to watch. I'm actually liking it again now that the whisperers are being introduced.

I haven't watched last night's show but we were in the same boat. We were almost a season behind about 3 weeks ago. We watched this season up until Rick's last episode and then finished it right before this season started back up. The whisperers are definitely making the show more interesting again.

I wonder how close they are going to follow the comic on this one. Ricks and Magie are not on the show. Also Machone i heard is leaving the show after this season. I wonder is she going to get knocked off. I also wonder would they have killed Carl off if they knew Rick was going to leave?

Michonne is leaving sometime next season. I read an article about Carl getting killed off. Chandler Riggs had no clue it was happening. He had set up his school schedule at UGA so he could still work how he normally did. They called him and his parents and were supposed to meet with Scott Gimple (showrunner). Instead they met with someone else and was told he was getting killed off in like 3 episodes. It came out of nowhere. I don't understand the reasoning unless they wanted to deviate a lot from the comics and this was a way to do that.

A lot of people have theories that the series is being told by Carl to his grandchildren on the comic book side. Not the case with the show.
