If Nick is suspended 3 games, our NCAA hopes are done. The next three games are Arkansas - L, @Georgia - L, and South Carolina - L. That would put us at 17-10 and 5-9 in the SEC with games left at Auburn and at Tennessee. That’s not an NCAA resume and would put us at 7-11 in the SEC and 19-12 going into the SEC tourney. We’d have to win the SEC tournament to go. This suspension (if it’s 3 games) couldn’t have come at a worse time. Why couldn’t we have had it vs LSU, UK, and Bama. You can’t lose to Arkansas, Georgia, and South Carolina but without Nick that’s exactly the more probable outcome.

Gotta have the athletes to win in basketball. Doesn’t matter how good of a floor coach you are if you can’t get the athletes. I’ll take this any day over what we’ve had in the past. Howland is building a program from the ground up. Get behind him and give him a chance. He’s won every where he has been and is starting to win here. We haven't relied on one person all season long. This team is built to not change much from losing any 1 player. Only more recently has Q kind of established himself as the go to guy.

1-70 road win is a Quad 1 win. I was wrong. This team has a heart. Tyson played his ass off, Q was Q, Perry got another double double, Holman played hard and with effort, Woodard played hard and with effort, Ado as well. Peters wasn’t bad he just doesn’t need to be so emotional. Just needs to play with an even keel. If he was a more level player like Q he’d be more consistent. He has the talent. He lets how he’s shooting dictate how he plays.

Loved how we played in the second half. In the first half, we kind of let the Nick news effect us but we turned it up big time in the second half. The key was we didn’t fall behind too much to overtake them in the second half. Our defense is the key. Howland has everyone playing and believing in it. Our defense was the difference in this game.

I got on here to talk about how this was a good win to find some douchewad grabbing posts from when we were down by 6 to a god awful Arkansas team and throwing back in my face. Shit like that gets old here but I stick by my statement. It was a nice win and this team SEEMS to be coming together but one of the benchmarks of all of Howlands teams since he has been at MSU has been “streakiness”. I know that doesn’t fit the happy, everything is peach narrative after a win but it’s true. It was a nice win that should have been a win. If this team wins the next three (that are wins on paper) then I will be cautiously optimistic. I’ve just placed hope in these Howland teams too many times the past few years only to see us run out there and play like shit. It’s nothing against MSU...it’s just past performance. Three upcoming should wins followed by a win at Auburn would show a lot of people that this team has finally figured out how to play as a team.

Yes that was a huge win last night, but even with a loss we wouldn’t have been close to the bubble.
There are at least 18-22 teams behind us right now. Unless we have a total collapse we will make the dance.
Need to win at UGA and handle business at home. If we can do that 10-8 in this league with who played in conference and out of conference might even get us to the 5 line.

This is why as a fan you watch all the games and pay attention to the team and coach finally figuring out the best lineups and strategy to become the best team they can be that season. We are a dangerous team. I think we are a sweet 16 type when we play our best and boy would that be sweet for Howland to achieve in just year 4. Excuse the pun. Still a long way to go before then though.
