JT seeing how crucial it is to locate that heater in college ball. He'll be more than fine, but these college kids at any school can hit a fastball belt high. This ain't Pearl we're playing. Better to give one of those up early if you're going to give up one

Holy hell these ups are incompetent. Take literally 5-6 minutes discussing if the inf fly rule applies only to apparently figure out none of them remember where the ball landed, so they need to watch the reply.

Shouldn't have taken more than 30 seconds to get to that conclusion

Ginn looks damn good. Ump is giving that low and outside FB and Ginn is killing them with it. Can't wait to see another inning or so when he brings out the breaking ball, thus far he hasn't needed it

Just a guess - he winced because he didn't like the location of the pitch and they were making sure he wasn't hurting.

I agree. This team doesn't seem to have many holes early on. I'm cautiously getting excited....not bc we're beating a bad team, but bc of what I see from our swings, approach, and pitching so far

Landon Jordan will be a good one. Mac and Jake are the only hitters we'll lose. Not sure what the pitching staff will look like though, Ginn and I guess James as the main starters, but not sure how it'll shake out after that

Yes, but the number of key sophomores in this lineup, with a potential shutdown ace in Ginn, is an awesome start.

Small, Mangum, and MacNamee will be big losses, but you always have losses. The number of players coming back from what should be a really good team this year could lead to really big things.

I don't disagree. To me the sophomores are already good enough to get it done. If Ginn can be good this year that would give us 2 badass starters, and I think the kind of magic/leadership Jake brings makes this the year to have "sky is the limit" expectations. Also Mac has some of that "it" factor as well. The losses after this season will be WAY bigger than what we lost from last year.

I low key think the biggest improvement in the team isn't the Fr hitters getting experience, or Ginn, it's Skelton becoming competent. he was SO BAD last year I think just being average all round will be a huge boost. He looks downright good as a hitter

It’s because Lemonis puts emphasis on catching and we have our own catching coach. Add to that Jones is giving Skelton a run for his money back there and you have a much improved Skelton.

Plus the JC players get a senior year, maybe we get Spencer Price and Kale Breaux at full strength.

What's our score?

13-2, B5. We've score 3+ in every inning, Ginn left a FB up in the first for a 2 run homer but has been comically dominant since. His FB isn't overpowering but it's got good location and movement and they can't square it up. He's barely used the breaking ball but it's looked good when he does

It’s absurd. Ginn is more advanced but Cerentola has a much higher ceiling.

Very similar to Kyle Wright at Vandy. Future top 5 overall pick.

That was a MLB hammer breaking ball.

Lemon can’t let Cerentola rot on the bench. They’ve got to find innings for him all year. If it clicks, he’s the difference in having an Abel type at Oregon State that can win the natty for you.

I knew folks were high on him, but I didn't realize he had that kind of frame and such a good hook to go with that heat. He and Ginn will be fun to watch the next few years.

What's the story on Eagan? I haven't heard his name before, but he looked like a solid lefty today. Is it just the team he is facing, or could he provide us a reliable southpaw out of the pen potentially? Juco guy or HS?
