Our approach really sucks so far. I'm fine with swinging early, but it's gotta be a pitch you can handle. Instead we're stabbing at balls we can barely get too before we get 2 strikes on us. 0 willingness to take a strike. Rowdy swung at ball 3, then with 2 strikes he had to swing and he made weak contact. Westburg swings early. Allen swings early. Take a damn pitch guys, use your head

I don’t think Geautrux is telling them to swing early and often. I attribute this to being opening day and the adrenaline.

Not a bad opening day win. It’s pointless to get upset in baseball during the game. Just the way the game flows. We were tagging the pitcher pretty good initially just hit balls at people. It evened out in the end. I’ll take a 14-3 win with 14 hits and several extra basehits with two bombs.

I really like this coaching staff. I know it’s one game but every time we needed to take advantage of a small mistake we did. We didn’t hesitate on the basepaths either. We were very deliberate. Loved running Jordan that shifted the holes in the infield that resulted in Westburg getting a hit. Baseball is baseball so there is a lot of unpredictablity to it but I think we have the coaches and facilities in place to get us where we want to go.

Ah, I see. I was thinking it takes a while for the incandescent ones to warm up, so why would they be blinking. LEDs explains it. I have them throughout my house, except for a fluorescent in the kitchen, and love them.

Same with Small. Rarely got over 90 and operated mostly in the 88-90 range. Either they have a new gun not calibrated or Ethan has lost some velocity. Not sure which. He came out smoking the first 2 innings, then the ball started coming in way too high. Started losing control some. I really didn't want to see him pitch more than 4-5 innings anyway. Too early in the season to risk your Ace to arm injury again.....especially against a team we should beat easily. We finally came alive late and pounded the ball. We should be hitting 4-5 Hrs. every game in our park. No reason not to. I walked all around the stadium.....very very nice. The only complaint I might have is the concourse under the upper deck is not much bigger than our old park. It got jammed up even before the game started. Nice crowd, but when we have those monster crowds (like I expect vs USM). it is going to be major gridlock in the main grandstand corridor. They really should have made it another 25' deep. The concessions and rest rooms take up much of the corridor space. Other than that, we have a real jewel of a ballpark.

Stadium gun must be different because the highest I saw anyone throw was 91 on the scoreboard and that was Colby White. Based on what others are saying it sounds like our scoreboard gun is 4 MPH slow.

I don't know if he was looking at the scoreboard or had another source.
