Mississippi State signee Lee Witherspoon only started playing running back as a high school senior, so he went unnoticed as the 2018 season began. But after scoring an Alabama-record 59 touchdowns, he could find himself in the national spotlight this fall.

The rest of the article can be read on bleacher report. I think we might've found a diamond in the rough.

Great read.

Kid averaged 19.2 yards/carry last season after being a RB for only eight months. His first 23 carries yielded 16 TD's.

He's only 5'-10" and 180 lbs, so it's hard to say how he'll translate in the SEC, but he's blazing fast and and had a hell of a season last year.

Ealy is 200 lbs. Spoon can reach 200 lbs easily in the weight room. If he retains his speed, he could be an elite back. We shall see.

Speaking of the weight room, have we hired a S&C coach yet?

Nope... I would think that would be an important thing to have right now..

Possible we may have gotten him just under the wire before his recruitment really blew up. Hope so and hope our OL can give him a sliver of a crack to break some big runs!

He'll RS this season and get in the S&C program and put on 20 lbs of good weight and be a stud in 2020.

He should be a four star. He and Javious Purvis are both underrated.

I am really high on this kid. Our OL is going to give him space to run. Ealy, if ge goes to UM, has to outrun the DL and the LBs every down. Ask Cam Akers hownmuch fun it is running behind a poor OL. Witherspoon is going to be top knotch after a year in the weight room.
