G3, War Eagle, Sea Ark?

I want one so bad I about can't stand it! I looked at most all of them and Xpress has always been my favorite and the one I will get as soon as I can. But I think all those you mentioned are good boats. Of those three I would prefer the War Eagle personally.

No experience with any of those myself, but as State82 mentioned, I love the Xpress boats... specifically their bay boat line.

Thanks. I've been looking at a number of brands, just named those 3. War Eagle may be a little more expensive based on what I have read, but seems like they are built very solid. G3 seems to have pretty good pricing but I have no experience with them.

Xpress now makes a skinny water skiff and I’d love to ride in one. An aluminum skiff would be a dream to power and pull

Talked to a buddy of mine whose dad has one. 18 ft Xpress with a 115 yammy four stroke. Said the lids on the compartments have a lip type sealing system. He chose it over a similar G3 because the G3 compartments leaked.
If I ever decide to sell my skeeter, I’m going to look hard at a center console Xpress myself.
They’re pretty quick too. With a 21 prop you’d probably hit lower 50’s with the 115 @ 7-9 mpg. Pretty economical too.

I have an Xpress 17 foot with a 90 Yam 2 stroke that I bought 10 years ago for inshore fishing and duck hunting. Fantastic, safe and reliable boats. Now that I duck hunt private ground, I haven't put it in the water in years.

Sounds like you need to get down to south LA and get that boat wet

I have a War Eagle Blackhawk 2170 with a 150 Yamaha on it. Ive had it going on 3 years now and I have put it through the wringer, tough as nails. I fish the Louisiana marshes around Leeville/Golden Meadow, it handles skinny water as well as open water. I chose it over an Express (G3, Ranger didnt offer a 22' at the time, so they werent options) because the War Eagle was more user friendly for what I wanted (More open area to maneuver vs storage compartments). You cant go wrong with either, but I havent regretted my decision one second.

By the way, I stopped and looked at one of the new Excel Bay Pro 230’s yesterday in Hattiesburg. Bad azz boat there. .150 Hull, and loaded for bear, thing is a tank. It’s $53,000, but an awesome aluminum Center console nonetheless. They also had the Bay Pro 203, very well built and about $30,000.

Gaudet boats are better than any of those cookie cutter bs boats. Get exactly what you want and don't pay as much
