This is some great stuff. It's easy to forget just how special of a season 2018 was, but it was nice to go back and relive some of those memories by watching that video.

Man I hope we have a good baseball season. We should, but baseball is harder to predict than the other sports imo. One or two pitchers struggle and everything changes. One or two pitchers emerge and all of a sudden we're top 5 level. So much depends on individual performance.

That was my favorite season ever. When they honored Henderson during the Auburn game (I think it was the Auburn game maybe Florida) that was the loudest I Davis Wade got all season.

I think they have a real sense of having unfinished business in Omaha. Especially Jake. I really wouldn't be surprised to see him have a very special season and put us on his back.

And some food for thought -

If we make it to Omaha this year, it will be our 3rd trip in 7 seasons. That equals what should be considered the peak of Polk I (1979-1985). We would also have more post-season appearances (6) then that stretch (5).

Talk to any of them and you get that sense, but even more so with Jake. It eats at him that he was stuck on deck with the season on the line. This team has the makeup to be a very special team. If we can avoid injuries and take the same approach at the plate we took the last 20-25 games we will be a VERY dangerous team. Keeping Gautreau may have been bigger than any offseason move we made.
