I always felt the same. I do know that Kermit tried to get the AD job and would probably have been a good one, but it just may be that the cigar boys still hold a grudge that he tried to wrest the job away from their boy LT. It was just strange that they never gave Jr an interview.

Never heard that Bailey didn't want him and made effort to keep him away. What in the hell for, they played together?

It's a trade-off. Howland is a great recruiter, but won't jump in these guys asses and make them respond.

I don't think Kermit will recruit near as good as Howland, but his teams hustle and move the ball better than most.

I don't see Howland as a great recruiter ....take away the legacy recruits and who does he have ? Q and Holman were in the boat when he was hired... he did get Peters ... but he also got Kegler, Herard, and several others that have processed out.

Yes, he's married to Bailey's daughter but he's still the AD. He had a job to do. If he let his FIL dictate his decisions then he would be a worthless AD. Which he was.

Think they got our really good tennis coach too. Andy Jackson?....I think. MSU is kind of like their coaching farm league. Once we find a good coach and he does well for a few years or more......Gatahs come swoopin' in and pay 2-3 times what we paid them.
