Weekend Cooking & Drinking Thread: Busy Edition

Busy busy around my way. Gotta finish my fishfinder install, both my kids? b?day party is Saturday, and my brother flew in from Denver. No time to hunt today but I did shoot some arrows to keep fresh.

Duck fajitas, black beans and a few Mexican beers. Sitting by a fire with little man now. We're plotting our attack on some squirrels for the weekend, since we can't get to the camp and duck/deer hunt with the water.

Been ripping and running for the party for my kids. We got Mickey and Minnie everything around here. I just started some chili in the crockpot for dinner tonight. It’s a no flour, no bean recipe. Basically just tomato sauce, Chipotle peppers, onions, bell peppers, garlic, paprika, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. If it’s too thin I’ll just remove lid and crank up to high for the last couple hours. White longnecks today. Had an angel envy neat for the nightcap last night and man, I’m enjoying that bottle.

Spec has it going it on....had a huge family gathering yesterday for a funeral. So, you name it, we had it at...at a country church. Still do not know who had the best fried chicken or which variation of peas and butter beans was number one. I thought I was going to have a diabetic coma from all the deserts. Man, I loved all the food!

My son requested fried squirrel after our kill, so we sure enough did it. Fried squirrel, gravy and biscuits. It's been a while since I've done it, but it was great.
