Clemson has great receivers. Great receivers bail out QBs all the time. Lawrence made some fine throws, but also got bailed out on bad throws by great receivers. Clemson displayed elite talent at QB and WR tonight. If any team wants to elevate offensive production you elevate WR talent first. Great receivers elevate QB play no matter the talent. Offensive production with great receivers is limited by QB talent. When you have limited WR talent, you can limit great QB talent.

Give me an average QB and above average WRs all day over great QB and average WR. Offensive production is always greater when you have higher talent on the receiving end of the ball, WR/RB. Just look at the NCs Bama won with mediocre QB play. The skill guys were elite.

Yes and no Jack, I do think his age will start to be more of a factor although he probably lives everyday to eat, drink and sleep football. He has won so much I imagine losing this game has taken a toll on him. I also wonder IF he is thinking about the NFL as he really has done everything at Bama that he can.

Dabo is the man now. I think he has a better staff than Bam on the field, no one has more on payroll than Bama.
