In light of how our season ended with a thump and now that we know 100% who all is declaring for the draft let's look at next year's schedule.

Aug 31 - ULL @ Superdome
Sept 7 - USM
Sept 14 - Kansas St
Sept 21 - Kentucky
Sept 28 - @ Auburn
Oct 5 - OPEN
Oct 12 - @ Tennessee
Oct 19 - LSU
Oct 26 - @ aTm
Nov 2 - @ Arky
Nov 9 - OPEN
Nov 16 - Bama
Nov 23 - Abilene Christian
Nov 28 - OM

I see a 8 win ceiling with the returning talent we have and our losses on the defense. Thoughts?

And I can see us going 6-6 before we actually go 8-4, sadly.

There will be a certain struggle just to get bowl eligible again.

I don't even want to think about if it comes down to the Egg Bowl for bowl eligibility. Ugh...

Hopefully we make a bowl game, but that will require us beating Ark and/or UT on the road, and Kentucky at home. Moorhead gives me no reason to think either is a guarantee. We may be playing shitty Ole Miss to see if we get a bowl game.

Moorhead needs to go 7-5 next year. Should not lose to Arkansas or Ole Miss, and beat one of Tenn or KY or any of the Non-Conference. Would love to see 8 or 9, but until we see who is the Qb cant predict that.

8-4

I think 8-4 is absolutely best case scenario next year. I think 6-6 is propabably where we will fall with an outside shot at 7-5

I agree. I also like having two open dates (especially the one before Bama), and playing a home non-SEC game between Bama and OM.

Despite what a lot around here will think the only sure loss I see is Bama but we are always better against them at home.

We will lose some on defense but we also played a lot of guys, still a lot of talent on that side. Keeping Shoop will help.

Offensively we cant be any worse than we were against good defenses so I could still see us getting to 8-4. Hopefully Moorhead just really needs a QB to do what he wants

That (or worse) was the case in 4 of Mullen's 9 seasons. We won all 4 of those Eggs interestingly.
