It's good to see the MSU media hold the program to a high standard rather than the "just be happy it ain't 1988 anymore crowd.

There are numerous excuses we can make for Moorhead, many of them legitimate, but 8-5 wasn't acceptable. Not with this roster. Championship caliber coaches find a way to more effectively adjust to the players.

Hopefully things will get better as he gets his own players in here, but I'm of the belief that really good coaches aren't system coaches. They don't require the perfect combination of ingredients to win games they are supposed to win & have more talent than the other team in. Moorhead failed at that all too often this year.

What is the worst record for a team that finished the season #1 in the country in scoring defense?

2015 Boston college = 3-9. That's total defense

ETA... scoring defense was 2014 OM at 9-4.

So we finished with the worst record all time?

Couldn't go back before 2009, so who knows

Sux to finish the way we did. Regular season and bowl game. Jomo had a silver platter handed to him for his rookie season. He got a C-. See minus. Wasted opportunity. Next year will tell us if he can build and get better.

I do agree that I'm happy that the MSU media is holding us to a higher standard than just 8 wins.
