Yep, the team preseason predicted to win the Big 12.


Sure we could have played better, but we weren't the same after that questionable hit on Tyler. Makes it a completely different game. People forget Dak didn't practice in the spring with surgery. He's just now getting game ready.

We held OSU's offense to half their normal numbers.

TCU is decent- their losses are to teams that are 17-2 entering the day

Oklahoma State had a bad loss to West Virginia, but they are 8-4 at worst on the season, and that's if Texas beats them.

Looking at their schedule, they probably make a bowl. They aren't good, but they're far from "****ing awful."

OSU's DL was better than I expected. But mostly we totally shit the bed and were out-coached with in-game adjustments.

The main thing to take away from all this is that with decent coaching, we are 5-1 and ranked.

It doesn't matter how they finish if we don't beat UK, Ark and OM. If we win those 3 then we can talk about being a good team with a tough schedule.

I agree PMDawg. We at least beat Auburn easily and would start 5-2 heading into the USC game with momentum. In big games, Dan has a tendency to go into **** it mode and loses games which is why his record is so terrible against ranked opponents. I think he over thinks in those situations and gets in his own way. I think if he called plays more from instinct we would be in a much better situation. Also, if he saw a play that worked and continued to call that play we would be more successful. He has a tendency to go away from plays that work. On defense, if we could just scrap the zone and go man our secondary would be much better too. Zone defense with a young secondary is just asking for trouble.
