This usually does not end up well for us. That said, why the hell would you want to go play for a program that has been mediocre since the turn of the century. This isn?t the 90?s anymore

Trying to flip Payton.

He might, then he might not. I wouldn't worry until Feb. signing day has come and gone to see who stayed with us and who left.

It won't be a big deal if he flips. He's a May graduate now, so he won't be able to go through spring practice. For Jucos, that usually means a redshirt is in order.

The advantage of signing a juco is so they can provide immediate help. If they can't, you might as well go find a high schooler.

Depends on the player

Depends on the player

Pernell McPhee was that player. Darius Slay was that player. Stephen Guidry was that player.

Javonta Payton is not that player.

You misinterpreted what I said. There are absolutely times when redshirting a juco is just fine. Even if you knew in advance that Chauncey Rivers and Brian Cole wouldn't have been able to get out in May you still take them 100 times out of 100.

If he's a legit talent learning to play in the SEC will not be that difficult
