I would hope we "burn his redshirt" next year as well. Wouldn't think twice about it.

You don't REDSHIRT NFL potential. Sorry -- you just don't. Even when it isn't going to get a ton of PT in year 1. This is a kid that's got talent to be gone in 4 regardless -- and could even blow up and be gone in 3.

Saban this year:
5* Derrick Henry (#1 ATH in country -- would have been #1 RB in country) - 13 carries 85 yards
4* Altee Tenpenny (#7 RB in country) - 18 carries 66 yards 1td, 1 reception 4 yards

Contrasted to Mullen's use of Shump:
4* Ashton Shumpert - 29 carries 128 yards 2td, 1 reception 14 yards

What's the problem?

Totally agree with Engie here. We arent in a place to redshirt talent like that. If our coaches even go there with him- he will end up elsewhere. Look at Chris Jones...you dont redshirt dudes like that.

While I love his ability to carry the ball that much, I wish he wasn't. Wish WP coaches had his college career in mind more than winning games. Rb's take so much abuse and I wish he was limited to 20 carries. Not gonna happen though
