Did you notice, on the right hand side in your link, that "Hud" is ranked as the 7th best recruiter in the country? And those above him are at "elite" schools (not sure Auburn has that status, but it might be close). That's not bad at all.

By my count, the state of MS has 63 players rated 3* or better. The state of Iowa has 13 at 3* or better.

Also, Iowa takes in a lot of big multi-sport athletes from instate. Their instate commits for this year are 6'6, 6'6, 6'4, 6'5 and 6'6. It's a consistent pattern with Iowa.

It's a development program, and we have to recruit super-regionally in order to fill the roster out.

Little wonder our S&C coach is one of if not the highest paid in the land at his role. Beyond the Kirk Ferentz, he's the most valuable coach on staff by far.
