View Full Version : Dallas just does not play to win...

RougeDawg

They have 4 times as many yards and only up 3-0. When they get inside the 30 their play calling goes to shit. It?s like the OC goes into prevent turnover mode and plays for FG. Then Dak throws his first INT in 165 passes. Add in a few holding calls in red zone and they are dominating a 3-0 game. If jerry doesn?t make an OC change this offseason, he?s truly stupid.

Garrett plays not to lose. I hate the passive non aggressive play calling. It's pathetic. They'll never win anything as long as Garrett is there. Go get josh McDaniel!

The Cowboys' philosophy reminds me a lot of the Hawkeyes' approach.

ShotgunDawg
12-09-2018, 06:11 PM
I would argue that the Cowboys absolutely play to win and to their strengths.

I think they could win a game in the 30s if they had but their defense is unreal in an era where offenses don't know how to deal with great defenses.

They minimize risk and that's the correct formula with THIS team. Gene Stallings approach

If they get better in the red zone, they could win the Super Bowl.

Dak is a good player, but his greatest asset is that he always plays and rarely gets hurt. With Romo, the style that Dallas had to use to win games was always changing due to his injuries. With Dak, they have a realible formula
